What Does Your Forcefield Look Like

What does your force field look like? Often times we do not feel a sense of safety or protection from the world around us, especially a world filled with emotional and spiritual energy that is not often recognized. Energy, in any form, affects us. We sense the negative energy draining us when someone is extremely angry and verbally or physically raging. In these times it’s so important that we feel a sense of protection against these energies. If intent is linked to our spiritual growth, then creating a forcefield with intent can be profoundly effective at combating these energies from affecting us not only spiritually but also emotionally and physically.


In this exercise, I’d like you to envision a forcefield that surrounds your entire body, protecting you from outside energy and negative energy causing emotional pain. This forcefield could be made of anything that makes you feel safe and/or protected. Imagine the details and write them down as you see it in your mind. If it sounds helpful you can even create an image of this forcefield.

Visualization Exercise

What happens when negative energy hits your forcefield? It can't get in. You can visualize the energy hitting your forcefield and falling to the ground. Likewise, you can visualize light and positive energy flowing freely through the crystal, this helps to strengthen your chakras as well. You can create a forcefield around you made of any type of material you desire: light, crystal, wall, flowers (the thorns are protective, but the blossoms welcoming), or any structure that brings you peace.

To bring this forcefield to life, you must visualize it often. You can take a minute or two to envision it. As you practice visualizing this forcefield, it will become second nature to feel it, see it, and experience the benefits of it.

For instance, if you are at a dinner party, and you feel a bit anxious that you don't really know anyone, you can imagine your forcefield protecting you while still allowing for positive energy to flow freely (this allows for communication without much fear). There are places I do not feel entirely comfortable, but I also know that my forcefield protects me from any unwanted attachment or draining of energy while still allowing me to connect with the world and people around me.

How do you imagine this forcefield? First, take a few slow deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth (close your lips as if your breathing out through a straw). After that, imagine a color, shape, material, or light that is surrounding you and offering you complete acceptance, healing, and love. It is normal to have thoughts interrupt your visualization. Breath through it and revisualize your forcefield. As you practice, the forcefield will become more and more active without much visualization needed. When you feel overwhelmed or stressed you can practice this exercise, try to not judge any thoughts or emotions that interrupt your visualization (this may be hard at first and I found it helpful to imagine the thoughts/feelings as clouds passing me in a clear blue sky).


Is your forcefield made of a beautiful crystal?

  • Which crystal and what would be/are the properties that you make you feel safe

  • What color is the crystal? This sometimes can help us identify which chakra is calling out to us for help.

Is it made up of flowers?


o What color flowers?

o Do they have thorns like roses, leaves like the daffodil that protect the stem, or do you envision branches like an azalea bloomed bush?

Do you see a more science fiction force field, one that is iridescent and glowing?



  • What color color is it? Does it change color when something tries to cross it

  • Does negative energy evaporate or fizzle away when it hits the forcefield?
